What should I do if involved in an accident?

Do I have to go to a repair shop that my insurance company tells me to go to?
No you do not, your insurance company cannot tell you where to have your vehicle repaired. According to the Consumer Bill of Rights, it is your right, as the owner of the vehicle, to choose the repair facility. Here at Derouin’s Collision, we work for you, not your insurance company.
Do I need more than one estimate?
No you do not, the law does not require more than one estimate. You as the vehicle owner are the only person that can authorize repairs on your vehicle.
Do you have a car that I can use while mine is being repaired?
Yes, loaner cars are available by appointment. Please arrange for your loaner car ahead of your actual appointment to assure availability.
How long will my repairs take?
Many things can affect how long it will take to repair your vehicle, including insurance approval and availability of parts. We will give you an estimated date and notify you by phone when your vehicle repairs have been completed. Be sure to leave us all of the phone numbers you can be reached at.
